I have something to say,
So listen close, don't forget:
The moon is full tonight,
Just like my heart is full for you.
Everytime you feel the wind
Wrap itself around you
With gentle baby wings,
I am trying to steal your touch.
When the sun rises and shines
Through the panes of glass
That separate true lovers,
I am taking a glimpse of my light.
You are all that is holy
Pure, and sacred.
You are every brightest moment
I have ever had.
Even when you try
So hard to not
Package yourself to me
That way.
As the warm water wraps around you
That will be me
Trying to soothe you
And reflect your beauty.
Refuse to touch,
Decline to see,
Try not to feel,
But the truth will come and grab you.
You restore life
With a smile,
Wake the soul of the dying
In the music of your voice.
So when the birds sing
In lilting tone from
Your windowsill, that is me,
Softly calling your name.
You will not avoid my heart
Screaming for you as you fall asleep,
And my love shall
Find your soul in everything around you.
But all is incomplete,
It will not be balanced,
All will not be right,
For I am everywhere else
Except beside you.
