For the past is what the present does not let you become,
For the present is what the past ignores,
And the future is what's precarious,
Come not with wishes unfulfilling
But with dreams, telling and unremitting.
Come with fervent passion:
Passion for life, passion for dream, passion for hope.
If thou, like the sky, do want to be vast,
If thou, like the ocean, do want to be deep,
Come to love a poet.
For clearer as the thought itself
the Poet finds clarity in you.
