Constant Friend Poem by Shiloh Thompson

Constant Friend

Well worn and well loved,
Squished from lonely hugs,
Cuddled up by my side,
An eternally goofy smile,
Brightening my darkest nights.

Ragged fur from caresses,
Stuffing losing its plush,
Pink nose worn with kisses,
Eyes bright with reflected love,
A friend through every storm.

Wiping away all tears,
Never saying a word,
Just letting me vent,
Just smiling silently,
As I

Yellow, orange and black,
Small, cuddly and warm,
Happy-go-lucky everywhere,
Sometimes the only thing,
I have to lavish love upon.

So I curl up in comfort,
Pulling my friend close,
Against a broken heart,
Or just to cuddle with,
My constant friend, Tig Tig.
