Contemplation Poem by Laquory Jones

Contemplation

I know deep down I hold the keys to success
Indeed remembering back to the days of TB
When I would talk back and forth with Tiffany
Shouting how we would change the world
Through bounds and leaps because the world
Was in a twisted heap sowing our seeds
Through the confines of our minds seeping in
Thoughts through the endless times no one
Wanted to leave the world incomplete many
Times we had tasted defeat but we knew deep
Down we had something quite unique a passion
To change the world as you see it before we all
Fell asleep ten thousand years from now with
Our legacies ingrained fully it was just us
Contemplating on these things if we ever made
It out of our harsh dwellings (It was the beginning)

I'm sure you've been there before contemplating
About life and yearning for much more so much
Stress and pain we're forced to endure no one seems
To no longer care about the injured perhaps empathy
Has gotten so endangered that we as a people can't
Sense any dangers while looking at the faces of
Strangers perhaps you'll never see my angle while the
Rich flaunt their wealth leaving flashes of it dangled
But it's just how life would come to be perhaps it's
Been like this for centuries but how could we call
Ourselves human beings when we hurt the people
Closest to our beings perhaps we lie on the fringes
Of society I'm just trying to find the science behind
The meanings so much hurt in need of freeing

It's just something no one truly sees the tears
Behind the paintings remains unseen but just because
Life is full of imperfections does it mean it's unclean
The cycle of life interpreting its inner rings perhaps
We recycled too much that we don't see the beauty
In all things who am I maybe I'm just your conscience
That continues to sing your friend when you're in need
The essence of your being or the very moment that
Changes your Life your very question to your whys
In the end I'm just an human being like you searching
For answers throughout life hoping to spread insight
