Contemporary Haiku Poem by Michael Pruchnicki

Contemporary Haiku

in the back yard
spring winds
ripple plastic bags

the tree by the fence
atwitter with nuthatch-
moving in day

girl in the library
peers at the screen-
her books stacked neatly

in the garden pool
water shimmers-
new moon winks

a blond waitress
leaning over the counter-
passion flares!

house across the street
silent and lonely-
bank's property

red leaves in the yard
moiling and skittering-
a broken toy
