Yes it was long overdue
So again we meet,
This time at middlescence,
A quaint place I knew
For quiet sometime,
Since we last argued
Over growing up and growing out.
We greeted each other with warmth and a tender smile,
'How have you been'
to which, the answer you knew..
'I missed you' i confessed.
I leaned back on the wicker couch,
As I tried to read your mind.
Your eyes they sparkled,
With hope? Dreams? Or..
Simply looking into mine?
'Have you ever tried riding the horse? You wanted to, I recall! '
I looked down, no I didn't,
But preferred not to respond,

'Let's talk about you- I said'
'Oh yes, I love to talk you know'
The smile, the calm, the freedom..I couldn't resist asking
'How...? '
'Because I am selffull '
'Oh I don't know if I have heard that before', is it selfish or selfless or something I never knew!
'Girl, you have lost your way it seems,
The lovely sights you have seen all through were simply passing views.
The enticements deluded you into a wandering trail,
Stavage is what I would call '
Oh I so want to go back
There where I was with you,
Where we never split..
The point where you were me.
The flight of juvenescence,
Of just being in the state of myself.
I looked out through the cracks
Of the stained glass window
It was drizzling out, but the crowd was on move,
With coats and jackets and covers..
They moved, making way through in haste
None can stop, else they should be late.
Oh, I want you to stay, next to me
But you were gone! ! I gazed
Nowhere.. I looked around in despair
You were gone, once again! !
The droplets were about to find a way,
I pushed back and shut my eyes,
This time I shut my rambling mind too.
I want you back, and I whispered softly to myself
'Are you there, in my soulfulness? Or is it you, the lost part of me? '
