Cool Kids Free Poem by Trevor McLeod

Cool Kids Free

They were always calling the kettle black
when they were the pot
How the cool kids lied
what is not

They were always saying
we never fought
for the world to change
what is bought

They were always praying
what a world could be; not it's got
They were always seeing the world as strange;
not as hot

They were always playing
what a horrible game
They were always saying
none of us could blame

They had all of us
saying we could rate
Knowing sure as Hell
that the Devil's great

They were always weighing
what the world should know
When their plans for laying
were the world should go

They had all the tools
for the best of man
They would help their cause
when the pressed felt ban

They were only ours
for the world to see
What the Evil loves
when the cool kid's free
