Counselor Poem by kayla martinez

Counselor

Rating: 2.8

Anxiety rushes through me,
They just won't let me be.
I try to escape them all,
But what I do is slowly fall.

Fear creeps across my face.
For them, it is just a race.
So many words used by him,
And they all make me grim.

He doesn't really help me out.
My mind fills with all the doubt.
He tries to force me back in.
He says that it is the worse sin.

My friend says he hates the man.
This guy arrives in a grayish van.
Describing him would be hard to do.
There's only one word. You use it, too.

Homophobic is the word I once said.
All this rushes to me in my bed.
Why did he try to force it on me,
He is the monster, if only he'd see.
