Counting Your Years Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

Counting Your Years

Counting Your Years

Counting years with your thoughts,
you're a calculators on aset of numbers,
which seems easier,

Imagining the wide leaves on the terraces,
counting the years of the living organ,

Cozy in today's contingency,
far from the detachments of the sky chariots
that keeps coming with its worldly announcement,

Racing horses that came
with the worldly heart beats,
and the drums of the fatalities,

Trumpeting you're safe,
ahead of the pack,

The running dogs
couldn't catch you,
You're straining ahead of the pack
for the perfect mark,

Sprinting as sure as your heart could withstand,
these uncertainties,

Denying that escapes is impossible,

Before everything
sinks to a wounds full of arguments,

whichever disbursed its totality of years,
You're safe it's possible,
Prolongingthe years with your thoughts,
