Covered Stone Poem by Zane Gilley

Covered Stone

Time scales these walls as
unbleached cotton cascades
over toothless crystal.

It sleepens and skips as
caramelized silk catches
roughly on sandstone.

It pulsates, retreats as
colored nylon ruffles break
on the shores of "Nevermore".

It stretches out
endlessly
as
chiseled marble endures
the memory of a matte finish.
