Cradle On The Waves Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Cradle On The Waves

Cradle on the waves

Most of us living in Canada
-have been, are and remain
-dumb, blind.

Oh, news, media…
Oh, Google, Live-On-Line…

Some may know
-just little
-some better
-some have heard.

When speaking of land
-Province, Federal
-Charlotte Town
-PEI…

Claim says: "Unlike then,
-we know and, have it all."

But they are not many
-if we keep questioning
-of the Island's old name!

How great
-have been, are
-The Mi'kmaq First Nation…

They called it "Cradle"
‘Cradle on the waves"

Now, better we compare:
- "Which of them is the best? "

Then question:
- "What he has done here? "
- "Who? Edward? What the hell? "

Oh, dear!
Dear lord!
My Dear!
