Crazy Day Poem by Terry Searcy

Crazy Day

Alone and tired
In a life that don't seem to matter
As I sit in a room
And pause

I have the hair but no claws
The teeth but no paws
The thoughts that clatter
Alone and tattered
I only want to be accepted, but
The world thinks i am nothing but a nut

I'm under a great devine
It started when I was nine
Excuse me I must dine

I'm back with no regrets
Something you wouldn't bet
I don't ever stammer
When I'm using my hammer

I know you don't know
I like the wind. The way it blows

The sun the way it shines
I pull down my blinds
The darkness is a Friend
Most people think it's the end

I stop for a moment and think
Do I really like the color pink
What would people think, pink? Really?
It sounds a little silly
