Creator Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Creator

Social order
By so called
Architect-
Ever since
Its invent
Currently
Known by
The name of
‘Khapp Panchat’
Behaving
Both-
Like a friend
And a foe
A designer
And an assassin
Causing its start
And the end.

Issuing
Warrants
Of death
For lovesick
Innocent souls
Infatuated
By inter-racial
Or inter-caste
Undomesticated
Untamed love
And affection for
Irrespective
Of their creed
Colour
And caste.

Amazingly-
In one-voice
To make or mar
Deciding
The wreck
Or survival
Of folks
Indulged in
The affairs of
Uprising
Against
The wishes of
A few orthodox
Carrying out
Execution
No chance
As to survive
Survive to tell
Tell even its tale.

Youths-
Though
Born free
But chained
Everywhere
Falling
Prey to it
Killing is killing
Can’t be justified
You may call it
Honour-killing
Terrorism
Yet
Good or bad.

Raising
Its ugly head
‘KHAPS’ today
In vogue
A feel of majority
As is claimed
And democracy
That rules
21st. centaury
Whether
A frustration
Or renaissance
No answer to it
Even
Scholars divide
Some in odium
Others in praise.

Don’t you hear?
The victims
Singing-
Sweet songs
From their souls
For help
And support
Attempting
In vain
To escape
The rot
Loathe and hate
Where the head
And heart
Both are dead
Still
Held so high.

Vain efforts
Hanging
On to get
Out of the mud
Where
The allies
Turned foes.

Emancipate
The victims
O’ Creator!
Anywhere-
If thou’est exist.
