Crimson And Rose Poem by empty shell

Crimson And Rose

in the dimly lit room I almost miss it
the street light coming through the window
shines on it
there it is
I look at it in awe and shock
aorta, ventricles and vena cava's
finally at rest
sinoatrial stopped
veins, arteries and atrium
slowly leaking life
effortlessly I rise from the leather couch
pulling my hand from my chest
rising above the room
sighing in resignation
I drop my hands
painting the parquet
crimson and rose
