Crossing The Surma On Boat Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque

Crossing The Surma On Boat

Each time I would go,
To the other side of the river through,
The vulnerable boat that occasionally,
Reminded me of Whitman's "Crossing Brooklyn Ferry".

The physical's longing for the spiritual,
As the poet portrayed was sensational,
An eternal journey we are on,
Since the moment we breathe, since we are born.

The voyage of the body is temporal,
But the soul journeys forever, being eternal.
