Crossroads Poem by Katheryn Foley

Crossroads

I never thought I'd be here stuck between the crossroads.
I heard your voice cry for me but I turned the other way.
I never knew just what to say I never knew when,
but another boy just said those words and now I'm facing him.
I don't want to make a mistake because I knew you all along,
but boy those charms are getting old this shouldn't be an alarm.
I'm taking a chance digging deep inside my heart,
only time will tell the truth and this is where it starts
Chorus:
but I never thought I'd be here stuck between the crossroads,
I heard your voice cry for me but I turned the other way.
I never knew just what to say I never knew when,
but another boy just said those words and now I'm facing him.
I'm trying to say I'm through with you and I'm never turning back again.
now you just walk away but don't call me your friend
Chorus
