Crossroads Of Darkness Poem by Leinad Zerimar

Crossroads Of Darkness

There may come a time...
When one tires of the expectation of others,
When the only remaining desire is to be free.

There may come a time...
When the thoughts of your mind are sharpened razors,
When the edges of your vision blur.

There may come a time...
When the sum of your past is pain,
When the whole of your memory is sorrow.

There may come a time...
When regret outweighs determination,
When tranquility is replaced by defeat.

There may come a time...
At the crossroads of reason and desire,
Of hope and despair;
And when these times may come,
There is never a more fatuous decision,
Than that of choosing your path,
When all roads lead into darkness...
