brother crow,
where do you fly?
dejected and alone,
a hated thing;
that the world
should fear you,
and call you
messenger of death;
that the kings and beasts
would despise you
for eating their dead
and call you coward...
oh brother!
take to the skies tonight,
and hide yourself
from cruel words,
and strike when they
can do no more.
