Cry Blood Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Cry Blood

Cry blood

When I was in Russia
Searching for the Afghans
Encountered the shame of
Orphans sent with flights
To varied cities, towns
Of US of SR.

The parents in Kabul
Bent under cost of life
Either sent or lost the
Kids to the orphanage.

By Davood being killed
Taraki took the lead
And Moscow came to help
(All of this was a shame!)

Stories were many
Of back home to boarding;
Each step that I took
Was worse than previous…

Rape, abuse and torture
Once a while a success!

Noted some and ignored
Most of what found beyond
My power to absorb…

Then went to two Peru's
History of abuse
By Madrid and the pope;
Powerless I was left
In the midst of tortures,
Some seen in museum
Of the faiths in Lima…

Left them to join my wife
Living with Maple Leaf
Of land of progress;
Here, too, am ashamed!

Am ashamed!
Am ashamed!
Am ashamed!

Don't call me human
Rather be animal!

Studied Indians
First Nations
Savages!

Many names they were called!

Looked at time and churches
I am not Christian
Don't ever want such faith
Neither am a Muslim
With Baghdad's standards
Of Caliphs, Ottomans…

Don't call me human
Rather be animal!

Kids were forced to labour
In schools of churches
And were raped and tortured.

Open eyes and see wide
Not only the Red ones
That also were the whites
Of Ireland and London…

The kids of B H C
And the ones of Kabul,
Continents' Indigenous
Were taken in thousands
And distanced of parents
To be raised brainwashed!

Am ashamed!
Am ashamed!
Am ashamed!
