Crying Over Spilt Milk Poem by Melissa Schreuder

Crying Over Spilt Milk

Rating: 5.0

You said 'I love you' and I took it hard, so I fell hard.
You said 'I'll never leave you' and so I trusted you.
You said 'I won't hurt you' and I took it in and put it my heart for safe keeping.
You said 'I marry you if you want me to' so I gave him my only gift.
You said 'look it not you its me...but I found someone else...'
My heart crumbled, I broke down, but then I realized I was crying over spilt milk.
He's not worth my tears, he's dirt and scum.

True words. Crying over someone so low is like crying over spilt milk. Definite 10.
