Cupid's Love Arrow

You can't see it anywhere,
But love abounds amidst the air
Promises of hope anew,
Are given one in oh so few
Is it really happening,
Am I finding my happy ending?
I want the courting and romance
To show me that I have a chance
From love poems written passionately
To pink roses given lovingly,
Show me that you care for real
And my love I'm sure you'll feel
For when cupid shot his love arrow,
Into my heart I wished it would go

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Lawson

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
and the sheds were all cut out;
