Dancing down the road
Dignity in one hand, Johnny in the other
Skipping merrily
Laughing at her own
slender shadow
Following
Closer, Nearer
she came to the door
Fumbling with her keys
Listening, to their jingles
Trying to unearth the rhythm
hidden in the metal
Distracted, by her curiosities
The door opened
An unmerciful creature
Stepped out
Seized her sugary night
Discarded her bliss
but the memories
-are still there
