Cycle Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Cycle

The cruel
Joke of time
As such-
Yesterday
A poet
Well versed
Found
Crying
For children
Hungry
And naked
Both born
And un-born
For women
Both married
And un-married
Seduced
For the young
Mothers
Abused
For the youths
Wasted
Drug addicted
And the globe
Polluted
The whole
Universe
watching
As spectator
Silent

Today
The other
Bleeding
And howling
After the ruins
Through
The darkness
And gloom
Thrust upon
Aspiring
For governance
Superior
Over
The planet

Tomorrow
Left
No one
To cry
Weep
Or bleed
And perform
Rituals last

The day
After tomorrow
Nature wou'd
Prevail
To do
Justice
To all.
