Daddy Poem by Valerie Reid

Daddy

Rating: 5.0

Not sure if I ever told You
Father, Daddy, Dad, Sir, Pops
Would give anything to hold you
Father Time and Illness sucks! !

Won't say we always saw eye to eye
Didn't think my Dad could die
Strong, bright, head of the clan
Articulate, Indestructable, Hero Man
Now It's left for me to be

The One to Lead, To Shine, To Be
The Head of the Family
I will not Lie
At Times I Cry

Not Coping
Here's Hoping I will in time
Be able, Stay Stable
Too Much, Too soon
Too hard, Too raw

That's why I try to help them through
I'm here for her and him, and them
But who is going to help Me?

HELP ME! HELP ME!
SOMEONE! ANYONE!

Dad, ? ? (Why d'you have to leave me?)
Wish you were here then you could see
I'm the Son you knew I'd be...

When we meet again in Paradise
Let's get it right this time
So much to say So much to do
For Now, I Close with
'I Love You'...
