Dark Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Dark

In the dark I cannot see,
Longing for the light that looms astray.
The warmth that fulfills a tender caress.
Returning uneven bumps back smooth.
Cold, forlorn
A slight chill sent in anxious wait.
A protest in which constitutes sight.
The obtuse shapes that shape the dark.
There in the dark.
Have I found you.
No longer bumping around into inanimate objects
Broken promises.
Invisible girl.
Am I seeing right through you.
A light flirtation seen when my eyes are closed.
Transparent emotions that fill the void
that begs to have you near.
Will I ever find you
