Dark Seeks Depths No Light Can Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

Dark Seeks Depths No Light Can

Rating: 5.0

Man oft is afraid of darkling night,
But it's night that lets him deep insight,
Opens up a rich treasure,
Shows a glimpse of self measure,
In dark does man see end of his blight.
Dark seeks depths no light can
To introspecting man,
Who, in day light can reach hoary height.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Benighted connotes to intellectual and spiritual darkness and ignorance. Benighted is a person overtaken by the night. But, from a different perspective nights enable introspection. Hence, nights are God's blessings for truthful insight. Darkness reaches depths that no light can,

Darkness outside can be ignored but darkness inside is the end of brightness!

Yes, even darkness has its use. It enables one to be in touch with atman and have an insight. Thank you, Sekharan Pookkat.

For a man introspection is very much necessary. In day light one can reach height of light. This is an excellent poem shared.10

You've hit the Bull's Eye, Kumarmani Mahakul. In Bhagavad-Gita we have a verse highlighting this- yaa nishaa sarva bhooteshu....Thank you.
