DarkNess

As we run, run and run
we ask for someone to come
Come and help,
help us from what can destroy us

As we climb, climb and climb
growing weaker and weaker
unable to stand,
stand or fall

All courage and bravery forgotten
hiding to save yourself
hoping someone else survives
to remember everyone else

Hope forgotten,
prayers un-answered
as children cry
run, climb, hide, whatever

you are found
found and hidden
hidden in a darkNess
that never exists

It's ourselves
we destroy ourselves
wishing not to
others not caring

but realising- It was us

Poem of the Day

poet George Gordon Byron

So we'll go no more a-roving
So late into the night,
Though the heart still be as loving,
And the moon still be as bright.

For the sword outwears its sheath,
