Date Poem by Charl JF Cilliers

Date

Rating: 5.0

imagined death
a cutting edge
pearls bubbling at the throat
the vanity of going out
pain of expectation
calm and paper thin
the chasm of the date
the lover just a fraction late
eternity is said to lie beyond the grave
