The crown of life is not for sale
No deed, God’s grace can buy
Man’s shameful flesh is sure to fail
And bound one day to die
Who’ll purge oneself of filth and ill?
Who’ll seek Salvation’s face?
Resolve to do, The Father’s will
In power of His grace
Humility is God’s delight
True righteousness, His love
Self sacrifice man’s utmost height
Reached only through The Dove
When selfless love we come to share
Our faith we then employ
The fruit to God in truth we bear
Hell’s parasites destroy
All Satan’s lies we’ll come to see
We’ll penetrate his guise
The word of God will set us free
Above all doubts to rise
When finally truth has been conceived
When love is truly won
When heart and soul have Christ believed
Will bride and Groom be one
What joy in Heaven will resound
What songs redeemed will sing
The wedding feast on hallowed ground
Displayed before The King
When all the books are searched and read
Life’s race, when finally won
Eternity will raise her head
The Father’s will be done…
