Dating Poem by Hans Raj Sharma

Dating

Young official
A new comer
Fresher-
Soaking so wet
Drenched
In the ocean
Of love
Of his first
And last ever
Attempt in love
That he lost
All his sense
Of love
And expression
In total anxiety.

Consequently
No language
As spoken
Not even
A single word
A word oral
So as to get
Exposed
Or be in touch
With
His sweet heart
Sharmilee.

Gesturing not
A speaking
Body lingo
Swapping not
His emotions
Or inner feel
Disclosing not
His mind
And heart
Flawlessly-
An introvert
Sheer acute
Overall mute.

Delivering
Yet, a memo
Packing off
A message
Tangible naught
Of the sort
Tranquil
In the family way
Hopefully
Expecting
A date and time
If she could
From her own
Enough is enough
To conceive
Even, if she won’t
Still-
He loves in return.
