David Bowie Eyes Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

David Bowie Eyes

Rating: 5.0

Remember when the skunk shot its venom
Into my eye
As I was trying to protect you
It stung like hell
And the scent was glued on us
And it lingered through the house for months
You thought, as a city boy, you could feed it peanuts
But I screamed No
Causing it to spray in my eye
For it feared the curling noise of my voice
My eye was red and pupil was small
I looked like David Bowie for a whole day
And as I said, we couldn't get rid of the smell for months
No matter how hard we tried

Great way to start off my day with such a witty poem, especially since the dread of having to go see the dentist in a couple of hours! I'll visualize your poem's imagery to help me with the discomfort. Thanks, LeeAnn!
