Day's Decline Poem by Lee Ann Schaffer

Day's Decline

Rating: 5.0

Time fell into a hole in the ground.
The ground sucked hard
But it needn't have exerted itself.
Time was willing.
It spread its arms wide
In splendid release,
Let its weight sink it into dark abandon.
