Dead Flowers Bloom Poem by Paul Fisher

Dead Flowers Bloom

I feel nothing, anymore
When I look into your eyes
I see nothing, anymore
Can I take your soul away?

Take a look around
Do you see the dead flowers in bloom?
Want nothing more
Heartbroken kisses and empty smiles will do

The blood that flows through your veins
Can I see it?

I’d love to see
How you’d look without a spine
Just like everyone else
It’s time to watch the dead flowers bloom

There is no need to fret
Your rest is only for a moment
It’s but a pit-stop in the land
Where dead flowers bloom

Nothing is what it seems
It never was
Cram the shell
With the arrogance of liars

The blood that flows through your veins
Can I taste it?
