We're dead to this world
We want to go home
If you can see
Our hearts are now stone
Only death awaits
If we do not take heed
In the Word of God
For that is our need
We're dead to this world
we want to go home
We want to believe
But we're chilled to the bone
We fall to the floor
A terrible mess
We stagger to our knees
As we humbly confess
'We're dead to this world
We want to go home
We're sorry, Lord
We want to atone.'
