Dear Absent Dad Poem by Christine Ann Persaud

Dear Absent Dad

Staring at a star
wondering where you are,
in a place that is so far
where you can´t go by car...
Waiting since two years
alone, battleling fear & tears,
beside I moved on fast
this sorrow still last...
As mean as thieves
you caught my childhood,
happyness, dreams & believes...
I know you don´t deserve it,
but you´re my father
something I need to admit...
