Dear Lord Poem by James Casey

Dear Lord

Rating: 4.8

Dear Lord

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed,
There's an old, old prayer
Running through my head:
God bless all mommy, daddy
And all my sisters and bros

Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm
And safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

But as I lay here trying to sleep
I also wish that you will keep
All our soldiers free from harm
And make all the other ones disarm

Thank You Lord, Please bless the rest
In my heart, I know you will do your best
