Dear Mother Poem by v.m.saraswathy munuswamy

Dear Mother

Rating: 5.0

Dear mother you were the soul of our life
God of our house, pacifier and the peacemaker
When your adolescent children fight, argue
Did loads of mischief, tested your nerves
I never seen you showing anger
or loosing your composure
You were bringing them to right path
By your kind and simple words
They were dancing to your magical tunes
Being mama's kid and dad's pet, I remember
Our house was the paradise, amidst
All neighbours were casting their evil spell
But your amicable nature befriended all of them.

BUT....

Dear mother why did you stop this journey in a hurry
Your premature death, shattered our life!
We were like a direction less ship in the tempest
Though the able captain of the ship...Our dad
The ring master! when you were alive....
Accepted all our ruptures and disturbances
Tired his best to bring us all safe to the shore
Being the youngest of your five offspring's
I cry even today, we lost you both dear gems
You both tug our heart and soul forever
We are like stray dogs, rejected by one and all
Lost is lost, though all alone DAD did his best
But we lost him too.....The climax is a tragedy! ! !
