Death Called Unto Me

Death called unto me
He said come take my hand
Promised to set me free
Unchain me from the land

Death called unto me
He said with you me you’ll fly
He said set your soul free
Take my hand and die

Death called unto me
And fly with death I do
Come with us and be free
My hand I offer you

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Young Love lies sleeping
In May-time of the year,
Among the lilies,
Lapped in the tender light:
White lambs come grazing,
White doves come building there:
