Death Of Chivalry Poem by Pen Anthony

Death Of Chivalry

Without doing anything
We watched as life slowly
Escaped from him
His lungs caved in
And gave in

A decent burial we accorded him
As is deserved of nobility
As the grief fades away
Reality strikes what a gap he left

A ruthless successor he left behind
A human empty of humanity
Maybe it's our price to pay for
Keeping our tongues twixt our teeth
Never speaking out

Chivalry is dead
We have a suspect
The suspect is we
