Decision Poem by Signature Black

Decision

As the moon rises,
I can feel my heart stop,
Knowing it’s going to be another night without you,
No more surprises,
As the sun slowly drops,
I try hard to remember everything about you.

Your eyes so bold,
And a smile so sweet,
You’re so stunning I’m barely breathing,
Kept me warm when I was cold,
So now we share the heat,
And I pray you’re not thinking of leaving.

We’re far from the start,
And I know it’s been hard,
But please listen to my whispers true,
For you've stolen my heart,
And my welcome regard,
Remember it's me who’s always loved you.

If for you it's not the same,
Tell me while you’re here,
Though those words will hurt more than any gun,
Just to hear your name,
Won’t make me shed a tear,
But to me it’s clear that you've always been the one.
