Defining Ramadan Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Defining Ramadan

Defining Ramadan

To her chest, walked in pond,
Saw bottles, picked them up,
Had thrown yesterday…

With each she,
Caught a fish…

Some, they ate.
Also gave to neighbor,
Gave few, to others,
Then headed for market.

Sold the fish, remaining,
Bought flour and meat.

Islam with open mind
For richer has set law:
"Open eye of the heart."

This is known as we see it:
"Ramadan and fasting. "

Wise person must listen,
Throw out all the rest.

A Muslim, and, or not,
I respect such Islam,
And avoid the mullahs!

They are some charlatans,
Always lie, cheat in tons!

For the sake of our kind
For the world and mankind,
Doubtlessly, we, all, must
Respect such Ramadan,
One pillar of Islam…

We can say: "God is not."
We can say: "The faiths lie."
We can say: "…" better not!
