It was over
But it still lingered
Because heart watered it
A dead plant with faded edges
Chipped leaves hanging against will
It was over but the eyes closed their vision
Hoping to conjure up images of revival
Promise of flowering was a crystal jar
Its fragility needed a single knock
Goodbye escaped the ribcage
It was over since long.

Wonderful! A magestic poem. The penultimate line adds much power to it... Top score!
