Desire Poem by prabhakar bhatlekar

Desire

"I desire you.."
In dark mind the White dove
vigorously flapped wings.
Then slowly the darkness
covered it leaving behind
only the sound, creating
ripples over the darkness.
She felt the pain and
closed eyes, tried to float
within the ripples.
"You're a mermaid.."
His words lingered
"Don't throw your net over me"
"No..take me along with you
to the bottom"
She felt the dove touching
her shoulder.
Gently she held it
with her pink fingers.
"I...desire you"
"Come...take me in your arms"
The dark sea wascalm.
The dove flapped wings
and left them
carrying their story
through the darkness
