Desires Poem by Anurag Talukdar

Desires

Her smile smears a sprinkle of seductive scream inside my soul.
When it's late in the night and I lie alone gazing at the dim light above the ceiling, I browse through her photographs in the Facebook and breaking the vow I had made to myself just a few hours ago.
The vow of not getting addicted to her smile as she stares into the camera lens, the vow of not imagining of holding her close to my heart, the vow of not caressing her smooth black hair as she softly whispers into my ears.
Maybe she is not even aware of my existence, let alone of my intense feeling towards her.
But then again, why do I even bother!
For as long as these promiscuous thoughts help me douse these wanton desires in this life of forced solitude, while she starts her day, a quarter of the planet away, plainly ignorant of my existence!
