Destiny Poem by Brysha Mull

I've given up too much,
For the promise you made to me of happiness.
I started out as a whole person,
And now I am one big mess.

I was lost in you,
Now I am lost inside.
I relized a while too late,
We never stood side by side.

Now I am on my own,
And the promises did fade.
I have loved and lost,
But I still love the person I became.

I have learned how truely strong,
I can be in the face of heartbreak.
I learned there is no set destiny,
My life is, what of it, I make.
