Devotion (song/poem)
Picked up a four leaf clover
and held it in my hand
I thought about times gone by
Getting to from where I began
I head down long tattered road
Lost and worn for wear
I wonder what shall great when
I ever make it there
When I go home
Will I remember you?
When I go home
Will a memory linger too?
When I go home
Will I know your name?
At one journey's end another beginning
So similar, yet not quite the same
I wonder if true love ever
will truly strike me twice?
Like lightning in a bottle
Zooms past quickly and forever out.of.sight.
Who will be there to hold my hand
On the long journey home?
Though apart we are together
and never quite alone.
When I go home
Will I remember you?
When I go home
Will a memory linger too?
When I go home
Will I know your name?
At one journey's end another beginning
So similar, yet not quite the same
