Diamond In The Sky Poem by Martins Akhoeneto

Diamond In The Sky

You ignite my day
Now, what more can I say
As I have suddenly turn cold
Since the moment you last rode
On the chariot of patience
That yields my heart its audience
Let stagnant debris flow
Let might rocks row
Let the birds pray in union
Under the holy sky in aeon
Let the sky drown the earth
As the stars applaud in contest
For all that shall now be
Is far beyond gold and ruby
What shall always appeal
And surely stand for real
In everybody's pleasing eye
Is you, a diamond in the sky.
