Die Not A Fool Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Die Not A Fool

Of God! We all have given thought
Of death we’ve all shown fear
Yet still we each fall ever short
Though Christ again draws near

Who of The Truth refuse to share
Who Jesus’ call’s in vain
Die with dreams yet live a nightmare
Eternally in pain

The time is here the time is now
Life’s choice is given free
In faith we only need to bow
In shadow of The Tree

Where God His selfless love revealed
Where true obedience reigned
Where blood and guts made Satan yield
And life’s lost keys regained

But who will seek The Father’s face?
Bid Jesus Christ within?
Who’ll grab the Father’s saving grace?
And turn their backs on sin?

Consider the pain Christ Jesus bore
Creation’s King on high
Will it be Heaven or hell’s door?
He’ll open when you die

Make no mistake though God is love
And hates when people fail
In righteousness He’ll rule above
And cast the fool in jail

Be wise and let Salvation dawn
Lend Christ God’s Lamb an ear
Open your eyes, become reborn
And vanquish every fear
