Different Creeds Poem by Kassem Oude

Different Creeds

Rating: 5.0

Too many creeds brewed in old time
None's new since more than centuries
They dwelt in all minds and still chime
All teachings possess divine glories

All call and preach for faith and peace
But grow only hatred and strife
Factions from others rob and fleece
Promote for wars and despise life

Maybe the potter makes special Lord
Portrays and paints him as his shape
To fulfill needs, possess the gold
Drives folks to follow rules as ape

Ended heaven its tasks and goals?
Or it tired, forgot and took rests
Or it watches killing, starving souls
Or it'd hug them then as good guests

Secular respect creeds all alike
Yet they're deemed among others
Race, bigotry, colors doesn't hike
Their minds nor magic their feathers.

Truly, creeds crept up to sanctify purity but in due course resulted in wars, this is a harsh reality of the world.

This is an excellent poem, Kassem. All religions preach love, faith and peace, yet they encourage wars and killing - all in the name of their God. Religion should be a beautiful, peaceful experience. When it is forced upon people, it becomes ugly and tainted, and it is accepted only out of fear. This is truly food for thought.
