Disbelief Poem by Melanie Hannon

Disbelief

As I stood there in disbelief
I saw a tree lose its last leaf
I watched him slowly die
As he was on the ground I gave a sigh
In his face I saw great fear
On his face lied a single tear

Here he lies, on the ground
My poor little heart, it starts to pound
I pick him up, hold him in my arms
People walk by and watch in alarm
